Other Composers You Need to Hear!

Heather Ellis Koehn
(Works for Band)
Heather's music is creative, masterfully crafted, and makes important sonic statements that reflect the world around us. Her masterpiece 36 Blocks is a powerful statement about the 1921 Tulsa Race Massacre.  I recall the premiere performance by  Bixby High School Band under the direction of Jeremy Parker and how palpable the energy and emotion was. Truly inspiring and breathtaking.

Erica Porter
(Works for Film, Video Games, & Orchestra)
Ericas's music is bold, imaginative, and skillfully woven. Her work Galactic Triumph was recorded by Budapest Scoring and is reminiscent of an epic saga. I am truly in awe of Erica's passionate melodic lines and her driving rhythmic counterpoint.
